Faculty of Medicine

The Hope Africa University School of Medicine debuted in 2007, and has graduated over 400 physicians who are now practicing in various capacities all over Burundi, the region, and the world. HAU Medical Students are admitted via the national Concours exam, and the HAU School of Medicine is fully accredited by the East African Community.

HAU Medical Students do basic science foundations at the Ngagara campus, and then transition to a combination of clinical and didactic work at Kibuye Hope Hospital, Van Norman Clinic, Tanganyika Hospital, and other clinical institutions.
